About Cardiff Christmas Festival

Cardiff Christmas Festival is a curated programme of festive live shows, all brought together under one roof in the iconic Spiegeltent. Now in its fifth year, the Festival has become a much-loved part of Cardiff’s Christmas calendar, offering high-quality entertainment in a warm, welcoming and intimate setting throughout December.

Each year, we present a carefully selected line-up of performances designed to suit a wide range of audiences. From family-friendly productions to music, cabaret and seasonal specials, our aim is simple: to create memorable live experiences that feel special, relaxed and genuinely festive.

Since launching, Cardiff Christmas Festival has welcomed over 15,000 attendees each December, with multiple sell-out performances year after year. Hosted in a 500-capacity Spiegeltent, the Festival combines the magic of a traditional touring venue with the comfort of a fully seated, heated indoor space.

The Spiegeltent itself plays a central role in the experience. Its intimate layout means there’s no bad seat in the house, allowing audiences to feel close to the action and fully immersed in each performance. It’s live entertainment as it should be: personal, atmospheric and shared.

We are proud to support local performers alongside established acts, giving audiences the chance to enjoy exceptional live entertainment while championing talent closer to home. Quality is at the heart of everything we programme, from production values to performer selection.

Family-friendly pricing is also important to us. We offer children’s tickets for suitable shows, helping to make festive theatre more accessible than traditional pantomimes or large commercial venues.

All performances take place in a heated indoor venue, with fully seated arrangements for audience comfort. Food and drink are available on site, allowing you to relax and enjoy the full experience without needing to rush elsewhere.

Located close to Cardiff city centre, the Festival is easy to reach by car, public transport or on foot, making it a convenient addition to your Christmas plans.
